After a year of work it is FINALLY time to start my newly rebuilt engine!! The start-up process is scary, stressful, anxiety-provoking, and a little worrisome. Luckily, we had our friend Ross over to help us through the process, and we couldn’t have done it without him.
First, we primed the engine, finished installing the distributor, and plugged in the spark plug wires. Then it was time to turn the key, and while it started, things were rough-going for a while. Eventually, we got it running pretty well and it was time for a test drive. It felt SO GOOD to be back in Carl driving down the street, and I can’t wait until it’s my turn!
