I’ve always been very interested in making things and knowing how things work. I love baking because I can put ingredients together to make people’s face light up with the smell of freshly baked bread. I’ve always thought that art was very interesting because you can take a pencil and make something beautiful.
I’ve also always loved old cars – those fifties and sixties cars with the big fenders and the cool brake lights. My parents gave me the opportunity to restore a classic car before I turn 16 and get my license. Our deal was that they would purchase the car, but I had to pay for all of the restorations. I thought that this was pretty great since I was willing to do as many of the repairs myself as possible. This is only slightly hindered by the fact that I know nothing about cars. I figured that this would be a great opportunity to learn as I go!
- What kind of engine do we need?
- What kind of transmission?
- What do I need to do to make it safe?
- Can we put an air conditioning in it?
- Should I get a two-door or four-door?
